Byron Bay Lighthouse

The views from the summit are spectacular, rewarding those who have climbed up from the Captain Cook Lookout on the Cape Byron Walking Track . Ribboning around the headland, the track soars its way to the lighthouse . Along the way, look out for dolphins and migrating whales during their northern (June to July) and southern (September to November) migrations. You're also likely to encounter brush turkeys and wallabies. Allow about two hours for the entire 3.7km loop.


Soar above Byron Bay, an exciting tandem sky dive! Enjoy a scenic flight over the beaches, experience the thrill of a 60-second free fall from a height of 14,000 feet, followed by a spectacular five-minute descent by parachute. A highly trained, professional instructor will accompany you on your tandem sky dive, and pickup and drop-off from your hotel is included.


At this old piggery turned into a brewery, you can drink frosty glasses of house pale lager amid the brewing vats or sit outside in the tropical courtyard under the shade of a giant fig tree. Entertainment includes live music, DJs and trivia nights. Brewery tours are held at 4pm.

You can choose to have a few surf lessons or to go on a surf camp. The experienced instructors know the best places to surf and also watch the wildlife. Snorkeling at Byron Bay's Julian Rock Marine Reserve is of those unforgettable, once in a lifetime experiences. It's one of the few snorkel sites where you can swim with tropical species found on the Great Barrier Reef. However for us, the main attraction was swimming with turtles.

Imagine swimming so close to a turtle you feel you can reach out and touch it.


For more excitement you can go sea kayaking or surfing. However, as you may expect this isn't for free but very fun to do!  At the Byron Bay Marine Park, you can see dolphins, turtles and from June till October you might see whales during their annual migration! You can also surf the waves with your kayak, an awesome experience! During your three hour trip you'll be guided by experts who can tell you everything about kayaking, the wildlife and Byron Bay.



An awesome experience, you can choose many different packages depending on your price range. Helicopter tours are a great way to get a overall landscaped view of the coastal regions, they even give you the opportunity to take the controls with the tour guide and have a go of flying a helicopter yourself!.

Byron Bay's Community Market, held at the Butler Street reserve, is one of the best in the region. Covering several acres, the market offers a vast array of handcrafted wares, locally-grown produce, and artworks of every kind. It's best to get there early and allow a few hours to take in all the stalls, indulge in some fresh food and culture

Stallholders, in their eye-catching colourful splendour, are a spectacle in themselves. Rainbows, sparkles and angel wings seem to be the 'uniform', making you feel as if you truly are in a magical world.

Come and listen to some great bands as well as our featured busker. While you're there, enjoy hundreds of craft stalls as well as fresh local produce and delicious food and drink. There's plenty for the kids to do with candle making, face painting, tie dying and rides. Everyone is welcome, but please remember to leave your dogs at home.
